About Earhart Family Tailgate
Earhart Campground is a family owned and operated campground located on Hwy 11E neighboring the North Entrance to Bristol Motor Speedway. The land has belonged to the Earhart/Rhea family since 1775 and has been opened for all major events at the Speedway since the inception of Bristol International Raceway in 1961. Earhart Campground is Bristol's premier location for parking, camping, vending, hospitality and tailgating during events at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Prior to the announcement of the Battle at Bristol event, the Earhart Family entered a lease agreement with Bristol Motor Speedway for the September 2016 event. The majority of the Campground property including Earhart East, Earhart West, and Earhart Ridges are included in this lease to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Battle at Bristol. These areas include all full hookup sites in the Campground. The BMS ticket office is handling all reservations for parking and camping in these areas.
There are 3 areas that were not included in the lease to BMS. Wendy Hills, Hill Field, and Spring Branch will be managed and operated as normal by Earhart Campground for the Battle at Bristol. Available camping is in the Wendy Hills location. Campsites have water and shower facilities available, but there are no water, sewer or electric hookups. There is also a designated tailgating area in Wendy Hills. Day parking will be available in all 3 locations and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
